Narrative- Jesse Zalk – Google Docs

Attached is my narrative assignment, one that I am very proud of. Before this class, I didn’t know how narratives and scientific writing could correlate without the narrative overriding the focus. However, I learned that narratives are actually a really effective way to reach people because everyone loves to read a good story. Plus, if you make the setting and characters relatable to your audience, the message you’re trying to push will resonate profoundly with the reader.

This assignment required many revisions. Once I wrote down the main plot, I had to make sure that everything was grammatically correct. Then, I reread it from an emotional standpoint and tried to make everything respectful to those associated with the US military. After that, I found my narrative to be strong, but I needed to revise it first to make sure it was relatable, accurate, and effective.
