Course Learning Outcome #6

CLO #6: Formulate and articulate a stance through and in your writing

I learned in this course that a good argument will not carry you into being an effective writer. To really reach people, you need to be concise and strong with your opinion. Who wants to listen to someone who takes forever to get to their point, and once they get there, you realize they never really said anything at all? An example of this was in my multimodal project, specifically the presentation. The beauty of a presentation is that you can condense your argument into something visually satisfying, and if you have a strong stance alongside that it really sticks. Here, you can see how I am adamantly against factory farming and firmly for alternative forms of farming.
